Carlo Fiorio coordinates the Italian component of the EUROMOD tax-benefit microsimulation model. He is the Head of the Department of Economics, Management and Quantitative Methods at the University of Milan, where he is a Professor of Public Economics. His main research fields are public economics, inequality and poverty analysis, and econometrics mainly applied to taxation, welfare, and labour supply issues.
He holds a PhD in Economics and an MSc in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics from the London School of Economics, and a doctorate in Public Finance from the University of Pavia.
