CSIL has supported JASPERS (Joint Assistance in Supporting Projects in European Regions) in the assessment of financial and economic aspects of various projects.
CSIL provided expert opinions on project justification and eligibility in Smart Specialisation sectors, evaluating proposed costs and economic and financial aspects and reviewing the quality of support documents, including funding applications to the EC. CSIL also supported the preparation of comments for the Managing Authority and assisted during discussions with project beneficiaries and their consultants. CSIL covered the areas of investments in skills and innovation in the Education, Research, Development, and Innovation (RDI) sector, enhancing access, use, and quality of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), and investments in healthcare and the social economy at large.
CSIL's tasks included reviewing project-related deliverables, particularly the Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA); ensuring compliance with EC Guidance and Regulations; checking calculations for financial, economic, and risk analysis using Microsoft Excel; and reviewing Feasibility Studies and associated documents; drafting relevant sections of Completion Notes.
