The main objective of this assignment was to provide the client with a quantitative assessment of the furniture market in a selection of emerging markets worldwide and a qualitative description of the market features and trends including demand determinants, distribution channels, production development, competitive systems and major players etc.
CSIL focussed the analysis on 20 countries, including African ones: South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique and Rwanda. The methodology consisted of desk analysis integrated with direct interaction with sector stakeholders (manufacturers, suppliers, retailers, architects, sector associations, etc).
