The objective of the study was to assess the potential market for Italian windows and doors export in some target countries: Austria, France and Switzerland. The topics covered included: demand drivers, product features and specifications, the value chain functioning, description of the distribution channels (direct sales, wholesalers, DIY, timber and building merchants), price trends, rules, the existence of standards and certifications, potential entry barriers. The research was conducted with the support of a staff of skilled interviewers, desk data gathering and focussed interviews with a panel of sector experts.
