Dr Silvia Salini is a Professor of Statistics in the Department of Economics, Management and Quantitative Methods of the University of Milan. She has coordinated the Master’s Degree in Data Science for Economics at the University of Milan for four years.
Her scientific publications and research focus on robust statistics, statistical learning methods, data modelling and bibliometric analysis, data mining techniques and multivariate analysis of large datasets, service quality evaluation, and modern analysis of customer satisfaction survey data. As CSIL Senior Advisor, Silvia has contributed as a senior statistician to several assignments: for example, she conducted the scientometric analysis of publications and working papers and provided supervision and quality assurance of the Bayesian Network Analysis of policy instruments supporting SME innovation.
She is a member of UNIRES, the Italian Centre for Research on Universities and Higher Education Systems, and the Data Science Research Center of the University of Milan.
Silvia Salini earned her degree in Statistics from the Catholic University of Milan and a PhD in Statistics at the University of Milan - Bicocca.
